Stability Matters

Having a safe, stable place to live can make all the difference in recovery. Our sober living homes are designed to support individuals who need structure, accountability, and a supportive environment while actively participating in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and other outpatient services, as well as engaging in the recovery community.

Residential living at Rise Recovery is not about control—it’s about creating the space to heal, practice healthy routines, and build confidence as you move forward. See our Rules & Responsibilities for additional information.

Residents are encouraged to remain connected to outpatient treatment, peer support, and community recovery resources, with housing and treatment working together to support lasting recovery beyond the residential setting.

Addiction is a treatable condition, not a moral failing.

Our approach is built around SAMHSA's four pillars:

HEALTH

Learning to manage one’s symptoms or disease and making informed, healthy choices that support overall physical and emotional well-being

HOME

Emphasizing the importance of having a stable and safe place to live, where one can focus on healing and personal growth.

PURPOSE

Highlighting engaging in meaningful daily activities, such as work, school, volunteering, or creative pursuits, that bring a sense of direction and accomplishment

COMMUNITY

Developing supportive relationships and social networks that provide love, hope, and encouragement.

Rules & Responsibilities

Belonging to a transitional living program requires that each member do his/her part in the upkeep of the environment.

  • You are responsible for keeping your own room clean, doing your own laundry, and completing your assigned job responsibilities in the house. Being a member of the community also requires that you keep in mind both your needs and the needs of others.
  • You are responsible for treating peers and staff members with respect. This includes helping peers whenever possible.
  • You are encouraged to take responsibility for your own and other residents' safety and health.
  • You are responsible for being at all meetings and other events for which you are scheduled on time and ready to participate.
  • You are responsible for getting what you need by:
    • Asking for help when you need it
    • Sharing your feelings with staff and peers
    • Staying away from initiating, engaging in, encouraging, and/or supporting the unhealthy behavior of others
    • Telling the truth and doing what you think is right (which include doing unto others as you would want them to do unto you)
    • Achieving your Recovery Plan goals
    • Helping others achieve their goals if possible

If you have any information that another client plans to do something to harm himself/herself or others, please report this immediately to a staff person. It is important that you understand that this should not be viewed as "snitching" but instead protects program clients and represents an act of responsible care and concern for others on your part.
